Solid veterinary care for your horse, peace of mind for you.

Lisa comes to GMES a graduate of Cazenovia College in NY State with a degree in farm management.  Working with horses most of her life she has trained horses and taught riders to many local, state and national titles.  Originally beginning her veterinary assistant career in a small animal practice she had always dreamed of moving to a horse only practice.  She currently resides in Bethel with her husband, Tony, and 3 daughters, 4 horses and too many other animals to list.  She considers GMES as her “quiet” time.

Melissa White

Melissa is a Buffalo, NY transplant who has lived in NC for about 10 years.  This is her second time around working for GMES.  She worked as a part timer in 1999-2000, then took a job in sales at Horesware Products in Kinston for 6 years, now she’s back full time.  She has also been going to school in the Business Administration program at PCC and is hoping to graduate in 2008.  Her husband Derek, “the Irish guy,” many of you may have met if you’ve ever visited the outlet store at Horseware.  They live and work at Stonington Farm in Kinston and their animals include Kiki the cat, Calvin the dog, and Blue, a 6 year old Irish Sport Horse who’s still trying to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up.

Karen has lived in Eastern North Carolina for over 30 years.  She got her first horse, Star, about 9 years ago, which introduced her to GMES.  While pregnant, she worked in the office part time in 2000.  After her daughter Holly was born, she was a stay-at-home Mom for four years.  Then she started working nights part time at the Hospital, while running a small boarding facility at home.  Once Holly started school full time this past year, she wanted to come back to work full time.  Luckily, there was an opening here at GMES, and her office, medical, and horse experience has been an asset.
