Greenville Mobile Equine Service was started in the summer of 1997 by Linda Balot, DVM as an equine ambulatory practice servicing eastern NC. The goal was to provide solid equine services by educating our clients on proper preventive care and being there if needed for emergencies. Dr. Linda also enjoys the reproduction work, and was hoping to make artificial insemination (AI) a little more popular in our area. Many years later, the goals are still the same, but the practice has expanded to meet the needs of the community. We now have a 10 acre facility on the Southeast side of Greenville. The one woman team has expanded into 3 veterinarians with a seven person support staff. We now have a 3000 square foot facility to help handle your horses needs. Now besides A.I., we offer embryo transfer and stallion collection, to name a few of our reproductive services. While most surgeries are referred to nearby NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, one of their surgeons will perform simple procedures at our facility. Ann-Marie Hancock, DVM joined our team in 2003 and is currently getting certified in acupuncture to help provide a little alternative medicine to our repertoire.
